May 5 Introduction to the Red Cross - A Volunteer Experience
Have you ever wanted to help out in a time of crisis, but didn't know how? On Friday May 5 from 7-9PM find out what it takes to join the Canadian Red Cross' Disaster Management Program. Get involved locally or nationally by taking the free training provided by the Red Cross, who would like to start a local chapter. Ages 18+. Register by calling Penny at 403-327-7117.

May 15 Author Talk: Charis Cotter and "The Ghosts of Grates Cove" - Taber Public Library
At 10:30AM on Thursday May 18, Taber Public Library will be hosting an author talk with Charis Cotter, a multi-award winning author who resides in Newfoundland. While travelling coast to coast promoting her books she has spent time looking for, and collecting, ghost stories. She will be sharing some of these stories and talking about her books, which includes her latest "The Ferryland Visitor." While this is a dark presentation aimed towards grade 4-6 students, it is open to the public. This author talk is sponsored by Lethbridge Children's Roundtable and Lethbridge Public Library.

May 25 Author Talk: Donna Clewes, author of "Safe Behind the Little Waterfall" - Taber Public Library
At 6:45PM on Thursday May 25, former Taber resident Donna Clewes will perform a reading from her book "Safe Behind the Little Waterfall" in the TPL program room. "Safe Behind the Little Waterfall" is an inspiring story of healing after abuse and loss. Copies of the book will be on sale after the reading.
